Dr. Emily Carter, Director, BVSc MRCVS
Dr. Emily Carter brings over two decades of equine veterinary experience to Pasture Medics. Graduating from the University of Liverpool in 1995, she has dedicated her career to advancing equine health, with a particular focus on stud work, dentistry, and ambulatory care. Emily co-founded Pasture Medics in 2014, aiming to provide top-tier mobile veterinary services. Outside the clinic, she enjoys riding her point-to-pointer and spending time with her two border terriers.
Dr. Michael Thompson, Director, BVM&S MRCVS
A native of Henley-in-Arden, Dr. Michael Thompson graduated from Edinburgh University in 2008. His early career spanned Inverness and Doncaster, focusing exclusively on equine practice. Michael co-founded Pasture Medics with Dr. Carter, emphasizing lameness investigation and performance optimization for sport horses. He also trains and rides point-to-pointers and is often accompanied by his whippet, Billy.
Jack Wallace, BVMedSci BVM BVS(Hons) MRCVS
Jack Wallace, originally from Gloucestershire, graduated from Nottingham University in 2015. He began his career at Rowe Equine Clinic, gaining valuable experience in ophthalmology. After completing an internship at Oakham Veterinary Hospital, Jack joined Pasture Medics in 2018, focusing on medical investigations, ophthalmology, and routine ambulatory work. A lifelong horseman, he has also competed in point-to-points.
Mandy Jerrom
Accounts Manager
Mandy joined Pasture Medics in 2019 after a decade in the equine industry. Outside work, she loves cooking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family. She enjoys riding her Irish Sport Horse mare, Foxy Lady, and regularly trains for local dressage and fun rides. Mandy calls Foxy her "perfect all-rounder with a fantastic temperament."

With over 27 years in the veterinary industry, Alyson brings a wealth of experience to Pasture Medics. She previously worked for one of the UK's largest small animal referral centers and spent four years with another local equine practice. An equestrian through and through, Alyson has competed in many disciplines and now supports her daughter's pony competitions. She enjoys trail hunting, fun rides, and quality family time.

Katherine is a Bristol graduate with a passion for internal medicine and geriatric horse care. She’s known for her thorough, compassionate approach and loves countryside hacking and equine welfare work in her free time.
Dr. Mathew Foster, BVSc MRCVS – Clinical Supervisor
Dr. Foster brings over a decade of equine veterinary experience to his supervisory role at Pasture Medics. With a focus on performance horse care and lameness diagnostics, he ensures clinical excellence across the team. Outside work, he enjoys countryside cycling and training his Labrador, Finn.
